Starting off with the Four Symbols / Gods / Auspicious Beasts, these mythological creatures have been called many different names across time. They are the guardians of the four cardinal directions and are culturally important across countries in East Asia.
Unlike the rest of the beasts, HuangLong is the only one that was not adopted into other East Asian mythologies, but is represented by the Kirin instead.
