Mission Statement
WoWoKo aims to bridge the divide between Western and Eastern Culture. To bring attention to the under represented and shed light on the finer intricacies of Asian culture.
About WoWoKo

WoWoKo was conceptualized back in 2018 as a passion project to drive more interest to Asian Culture.
As a result, the founder David Wong (WoWoWong) started streaming in 2020 to foster a community and to fund this project. By spring of 2023 WoWoKo officially started in May also known as AAPI heritage month. This was a conscious decision in order to build the brand under the focus of Asian representation.
WoWoKo was created under the ideals that the Asian American community was under represented, and there were finer intricacies to Asian culture than the world has yet to see. By focusing on the origins of Asian tropes within our designs, the goal for WoWoKo is to spark interest beyond the common perception of Asian culture.
Inspired by Asian creators before him, the founder built this brand in order to build greater awareness towards the Asian American experience. To not only contribute towards the movement, but to see that this dream becomes a reality, not only for himself, but also for those that have supported his journey along the way.
Everyone deserves a voice, and everyone deserves to be seen.
WoWoKo (What does it mean)

WoWoKo comes from the combination of WoWo from WoWoWong (my handle), and Ko which means child in Japanese.
Literal translation - child of wowo
- An expression of inner child
- adults are never too old to appreciate cute and fun things
- hence why the brand is in bubbly letters and the designs are in cute/chibi forms vs cool
- Also meant to be the child* project of WoWoWong (Basically its like this brand is my child in a sense)
- The mascot also named WoWoKo, is the child version of WoWoWolf the mascot of my stream handle WoWoWong
- WoWoKo is also a play on WoWo Co otherwise known as WoWo Company
